Description
American Car & Foundry introduced its 50' exterior-post boxcar in the 1970s, with increased width and height to improve carrying capacity. Suited to all types of general freight loading, these cars remain in service today on Railbox and numerous other railroads. This Walthers Mainline model represents Lake Erie, Franklin & Clarion #1023 in bright yellow with the black-and-yellow LEF&C oval logo.
Based on 41' 3" truck centers with a 15' 2" height and 10' 8" width, Walthers Mainline freight cars offer excellent value — fully assembled with correct 33" RP-25 metal wheelsets and Proto MAX™ metal knuckle couplers. Limited one-time run.
