Scalecoat Wash Away Paint Remover strips paint from model locomotives, rolling stock, and structures without attacking the underlying plastic - the go-to product for undecorating factory-painted models before a custom repaint, and for rescuing paint jobs that didn't go to plan. Also works on metal and resin models. The 16 oz bottle is enough for many stripping sessions and can be reused.
Application
Disassemble the model and remove all metal handrails, glazing, and electronics. Soak the shell in Wash Away until the paint softens, then scrub gently with an old toothbrush and rinse with water. Repeat for stubborn factory finishes. Wear gloves and work in a ventilated area; test on an inconspicuous area first when in doubt.
