Description
Bombardier's LRC (Light, Rapid, Comfortable) passenger fleet served VIA Rail for 45 years and is being retired. The LRC had a 3,750-hp Alco 251F prime mover, two 250 kW Stamford alternators for HEP, and was built for 125 mph (restricted to 100). Rapido's HO farewell release features updated LRC locomotive tooling, new speaker designs, MoPower capacitors, new road numbers across LRC, VIA 1/Business Affaires and coach cars, plus revised LRC-3 club car interiors and Amtrak variants.
