The Rapido 546030A is a single N scale BiLevel commuter coach in the Tri-Rail scheme, supplied with a randomly selected road number. Tri-Rail's bright multi-colour scheme on early-body cars — the Miami–West Palm Beach corridor. Add-on car for building out a longer consist.
The BiLevel Commuter Car was designed in the mid-1970s at the request of the Government of Ontario, which needed more capacity on GO Transit's Toronto commuter trains without making them any longer — going up instead of out. It worked: by 2020 fourteen agencies across North America were running fleets totalling almost 1,500 BiLevels, and the car is still in production today. This is the first time it has been done properly in N scale, with a 3D-designed body, correctly tinted windows and all-new smooth-rolling inside-bearing trucks.
