The Rapido 226008 is an HO scale GO Transit 60th anniversary boxed set — GP40TC in the late green scheme with a stripes-scheme cab car: GP40TC #507, cab car #104 and coaches #1064 and #1104. The locomotive is DC/Silent (21-pin DCC-ready); the cars are unpowered and lit.
GO Transit's Lakeshore line between Oakville and Pickering opened on May 23, 1967 — the start of commuter rail in the Greater Toronto Area. Rapido's commemorative boxed sets celebrate GO's 60th anniversary with the equipment that carried Toronto commuters from the 1960s to the 1990s: a GMD GP40TC, a Hawker Siddeley single-level cab car and two coaches.
