The Rapido 16301 is an HO scale pair of Budd RDC-1s, Santa Fe DC-191 and DC-192 as delivered — DC/Silent (21-pin DCC-ready). Santa Fe bought the two in 1952, fitted them with Automatic Train Stop for 80 mph running and painted only one end of each, because they always ran as a set: yellow "cat whiskers" with the square ATSF emblem on the front door. They held down trains 80–83 until their accident at Redondo Junction.
Budd's stainless-steel Rail Diesel Car carried passengers on branch lines and commuter runs across North America for more than 60 years. This Rapido run adds the RDC-9 — the cab-less, single-motor "powered trailer" Budd built for the Boston & Maine in 1956, most of which later ran for CN and VIA until 1988 — alongside RDC-1s in a long list of new schemes and VIA Rail's 2010s rebuilds.
