The Rapido 1105006 is a 6-pack of HO scale GN 40' Double-Sheathed boxcars in the GN - Vermillion w/ Empire Builder Lettering scheme — car numbers #51083, #51106, #51146, #51153, #51439, #51498.

Between 1937 and 1942 Great Northern took delivery of more than 8,000 40' double-sheathed boxcars from ACF and Pullman-Standard; in 1956 it still rostered more of them than all of its 40' steel boxcars combined. Based on the 1937 AAR design but with GN's own sides, ends and underframe, many kept their wood sheathing into the 1970s. Rapido developed the model with the Great Northern Railway Historical Society.
