The Rapido 1084024 is an HO scale single Comet II BTC-1B coach #649 in the MBTA Operation Lifesaver scheme (2023+). MBTA coach #649 wears the purple-and-yellow Operation Lifesaver wrap promoting rail-safety awareness across the Boston commuter system.
Designed by Pullman-Standard for NJDOT and built in volume by Bombardier from the early 1980s, the Comet is the most recognizable commuter car in North America; most are still in service today. Match them with Rapido's F40PH and P32AC-DM locomotives.
