The Rapido 1084022 is an HO scale single Comet II BTC-1C coach #253 in the MBTA Laser Train scheme (2024+). MBTA BTC-1C coach #253 is wrapped for the T's laser rail-cleaning train that blasts leaf slime off the rails every autumn — a modern special-paint car.
Designed by Pullman-Standard for NJDOT and built in volume by Bombardier from the early 1980s, the Comet is the most recognizable commuter car in North America; most are still in service today. Match them with Rapido's F40PH and P32AC-DM locomotives.
