The Rapido 1024198 is a single HO scale National Steel Car 89' tri-level open autorack painted brown and unlettered — ready for your own decals. Includes both large and small panel sizes in the polybag so you can match either panel style.
Canadian National and Canadian Pacific took their first 89' tri-level autoracks in 1962 — Whitehead & Kales racks on National Steel Car flats from Hamilton, Ontario — with follow-up orders every year through 1965 and a final CP order in 1968: over 400 for CN and over 300 for CP. Open-design cars with safety screens, many ran well into the early 2000s carrying modern vehicles, so they suit layouts set anywhere from the mid-1960s to the 2000s. This is the first time the NSC 89' autorack has been offered as a highly detailed ready-to-run plastic model.
