The Rapido 1024105 is a six-pack of HO scale National Steel Car 89' tri-level open autoracks in the Canadian National Late scheme (1985+) — road numbers #700210, #700217, #700221, #700230, #700238, #700252. A black tri-level with full-height safety mesh screens and the CN logo, as the cars ran from the mid-1980s into the 2000s. Six different numbers in one box make an instant block of autoracks for a 1960s–2000s CN or CP auto train.
Canadian National and Canadian Pacific took their first 89' tri-level autoracks in 1962 — Whitehead & Kales racks on National Steel Car flats from Hamilton, Ontario — with follow-up orders every year through 1965 and a final CP order in 1968: over 400 for CN and over 300 for CP. Open-design cars with safety screens, many ran well into the early 2000s carrying modern vehicles, so they suit layouts set anywhere from the mid-1960s to the 2000s. This is the first time the NSC 89' autorack has been offered as a highly detailed ready-to-run plastic model.
