The Rapido 1024101 is a six-pack of HO scale National Steel Car 89' tri-level open autoracks in the Canadian Pacific Script scheme (1964+) — road numbers #550178, #550181, #550195, #550199, #550210, #550230. A black tri-level with white script "Canadian Pacific" panels of the as-delivered scheme. Six different numbers in one box make an instant block of autoracks for a 1960s–2000s CN or CP auto train.
Canadian National and Canadian Pacific took their first 89' tri-level autoracks in 1962 — Whitehead & Kales racks on National Steel Car flats from Hamilton, Ontario — with follow-up orders every year through 1965 and a final CP order in 1968: over 400 for CN and over 300 for CP. Open-design cars with safety screens, many ran well into the early 2000s carrying modern vehicles, so they suit layouts set anywhere from the mid-1960s to the 2000s. This is the first time the NSC 89' autorack has been offered as a highly detailed ready-to-run plastic model.
