The Rapido 1004006 is an HO scale EMD FT A and B unit set, road numbers #321A / 321B — DC/Silent (21-pin DCC-ready). It is finished in ACL's black-and-yellow scheme (1957+), new for this run with the MU nose doors, modified pilot and nose-side ladder grabs.
The FT was EMD's breakthrough freight diesel — the A-B units that proved diesels could replace steam in heavy road service, and that went on to work freight and passenger trains alike for decades. Rapido's HO FT returns with new schemes and never-before-seen detail variations, and the close-coupling system that keeps A and B units tight on straights and curves.
