The Pikestuff 0008 "Modern 1 or 2 Stall Engine House" is an HO scale plastic building kit for the metal-clad engine houses found on modern shortlines, regionals and industrial railroads. Build it as a single-stall house or as a two-stall facility — the kit's modular design gives you the choice, so it fits layouts from a one-locomotive shortline to a busy regional's diesel terminal.
Prefab steel engine houses like this replaced aging brick and wood roundhouses from the 1960s onward, making this kit right at home on any diesel-era layout. Pikestuff's soft styrene construction assembles quickly with plastic cement, and cut lines molded on the back of the walls let you relocate doors and windows to suit your track arrangement.
