Description
The Peco SGTDED06 is a pack of 100 self-adhesive static grass tufts in a dead, straw-brown blend, 6 mm tall. Each tuft is a pre-made clump of static grass fibres standing upright on its own adhesive base — peel it off the sheet, press it in place, done.
Why dead tufts: Real ground cover is never uniformly green. Dead and dormant grass collects along fence lines, around rocks and posts, at the edge of ballast, and anywhere the sun scorches or trains scorch it. Scattering dead tufts among greener ground cover is one of the fastest ways to make scenery look observed rather than manufactured.
How to use
- Peel each tuft from the backing sheet with tweezers and press onto the scenery — the base is self-adhesive.
- Add a dot of PVA or scenic glue for permanent hold on rough surfaces.
- Cluster in irregular drifts along track edges, walls and fence lines; avoid even spacing.
- Mix with green and wild-grass tufts for natural variation.
