Description
A black passing-contact (stud-and-probe style) switch — the standard panel switch for solenoid turnout motors. The lever contact passes through a centre-off position, sending a single pulse to the relevant solenoid coil rather than holding it energised continuously (which would burn the coil). Includes shrouds to prevent shorting between terminals; pairs with PL-31 push-fit connectors so you don't need to solder.
Why colour-code your switches?
Black is one of four colours in the PL-26 range — pick a different colour for each kind of accessory (e.g. red for turnouts, green for signals, yellow for uncouplers) and operators can tell at a glance what each switch controls.
