Description
The MRC On-Board DC Sound Module (#0001007) adds steam locomotive sounds to a regular DC HO locomotive — no DCC system needed.
The module plugs into the same NMRA 8-pin DCC socket found in many DCC-ready HO locomotives, and comes with an attached speaker and antenna wire. You keep running the locomotive's speed and direction from your existing DC power pack, while sounds such as the whistle, bell and squealing brakes are triggered from the included 6-button wireless sound controller.
Please note: the wireless controller in this set only triggers sounds. It does not control train speed or direction and is not a walkaround throttle.
