Description
The Micro Engineering 37-106 is a pack of 250 non-weathered wood turnout ties for N scale — real wood ties supplied in the graduated longer lengths needed under a turnout, in natural unstained finish ready for your own staining and weathering.
Why turnout-length ties: Under a switch, the prototype uses progressively longer ties to carry both the through route and the diverging route. This assortment gives you those longer lengths so handlaid N scale turnouts sit on correct, convincing timber — cut each tie to final length as your switch geometry requires.
Use: Stain to taste, glue ties to the roadbed on your turnout template, sand the tops level, then spike or solder ME N scale rail (Code 40, 55 or 70) in place. Pair with 37-105 regular-length ties for the plain track either side of the switch.
