The Micro Engineering 37-104 is a pack of 250 non-weathered wood turnout ties for HOn3 — real wood ties supplied in the graduated longer lengths needed under a turnout, in natural unstained finish ready for your own staining and weathering.
Why turnout-length ties: Under a switch, the prototype uses progressively longer ties to carry both the through route and the diverging route. This assortment gives you those longer lengths so handlaid HOn3 turnouts sit on correct, convincing timber — cut each tie to final length as your switch geometry requires.
Use: Stain to taste, glue ties to the roadbed on your turnout template, sand the tops level, then spike ME rail (Code 40-70 suits HOn3) with ME small spikes. Pair with 37-103 regular-length ties for the plain track either side of the switch.
