The Micro Engineering 37-103 is a pack of 1,000 non-weathered wood ties in regular length for HOn3 — real wood ties in natural, unstained finish, sized for HO 3-foot narrow gauge track.
Why handlay on wood: Real wood ties give handlaid track a texture and colour variation no plastic tie strip can match — especially fitting for narrow-gauge lines, which were almost always handlaid on rough timber in real life. The natural finish takes stains, washes and weathering powders beautifully, letting you match the exact aged tone your railroad calls for (or choose ME's pre-weathered ties to skip that step).
Use: Stain before laying, glue ties to the roadbed at prototype spacing, sand the tops level, then spike ME rail (Code 40-70 suits HOn3) with ME small spikes.
