Description
The Micro Engineering 14-713 is an HO Code 83 #5b curved-diverging right-hand turnout from ME's Ladder Track System — the first turnout off the mainline in a compact yard ladder. The diverging route is curved (16.2° exit angle instead of a standard #5's 11.4°), so the ladder steepens and the yard tracks fan out in less length.
Ladder Track System: The #5b is moulded without the extra ties at the point end so it butts directly against the next ladder turnout (#5c lead, #5d intermediate, #5e last). Pinwheel ladders are possible. Left-hand twin is #14-712.
Turnout features: DCC-friendly with an electrically isolated cast-metal frog (optional frog power via switch-machine contacts), metal guard rails, scale tie plates and spike heads, and ME's signature irregular tie spacing on brown ties.
