Description
The Micro Engineering 10-112 is a 6-piece pack of dual-gauge HO + HOn3 Code 55 (0.055" rail height) non-weathered flex track, 36′′ / 914mm lengths — a 3-rail track that lets standard-gauge HO trains (16.5mm) and HOn3 narrow-gauge trains (10.5mm) share the same physical track, used to model interchange points between standard and 3-foot narrow gauge.
Prototype: Dual-gauge track historically appeared at narrow-gauge interchange yards (D&RGW Alamosa, Salida) where standard-gauge cars and 3-foot narrow-gauge cars met. Three rails are necessary because the two gauges share one rail (the "common" rail) and the other rail is offset to one side for each gauge.
