Description
Labelle 106 is a light grease fortified with PTFE (Teflon-type) particles — the go-to lubricant for model train gears and sliding surfaces. The grease clings where oils would run off, while the microscopic PTFE particles fill in surface roughness and slash friction, giving you quieter gearboxes, smoother slow-speed running, and reduced drivetrain wear.
It is 100% plastic compatible, so it is safe on delrin gears, styrene, and every engineering plastic used in model railroading. Use it in locomotive gear towers, on worm gears, in truck gearboxes, and on any metal-to-metal or metal-to-plastic sliding contact that needs a lubricant with staying power.
How to Use
- Clean out old lubricant, then apply a small dab to gear teeth and sliding surfaces
- Run the mechanism briefly to distribute the grease evenly
- Use sparingly — a thin film outperforms a packed gearbox
- Pairs with Labelle 107/108 oils for bearings and pivot points
