Description
The Keystone Scale Models HO46 Concrete Piers are HO scale cast concrete pier details. Nearly every frame structure of the steam era sat on piers rather than a full foundation — mills, sheds, water tanks, trestile bents and machinery all needed solid footings, and modelling them correctly lifts a structure from "placed on the layout" to "built on the ground."
Use these castings under scratchbuilt or kitbashed structures, as machinery mounts inside a mill or shop, or as footings for tanks, bins and conveyors. Paint them aged concrete grey with a dark wash in the crevices for instant realism.
