Description
The KATO 2-852 is an HO Unitrack curved left-hand turnout at 550 mm (21-5/8′′) radius — both the tangent and diverging routes ride on a curve, letting a junction fit naturally into a mainline curve without breaking the sweep.
Why curved turnouts: Where a standard turnout would force you to insert straight track on a curve (breaking the visual sweep) or to break the curve geometry, a curved turnout lets you branch off mid-curve while maintaining a continuous flowing alignment — the prototype practice for high-speed mainline junctions.
