The KATO 2-192 is a 4-pack of 97 mm (3-13/16′′) auxiliary straight track sections specifically engineered for use with KATO HO Unitrack #6 turnouts — the geometric filler piece that aligns parallel tracks at 33 mm prototype centres after a crossover.
Where it fits: Use one #2-192 in the diverging route immediately after a #6 turnout (KATO 2-861 / 2-862) to bring the diverging track into perfect alignment with a parallel mainline. Essential for any double-track crossover, passing siding throat, or yard ladder built with #6 turnouts.
KATO HO Unitrack system: Code 83 nickel-silver rail molded into a factory-attached ballasted plastic roadbed, with integrated UniJoiners. Layouts assemble five to ten times faster than sectional or flex track.
