Description
The KATO 2-181 is a 4-pack of HO Unitrack 369 mm (14-1/2′′) concrete-tie long straight track — modern Class-1 mainline-style concrete ties on the longest single straight in the HO Unitrack range.
Prototype: Concrete ties replaced wood on heavy mainlines from the 1960s onward; the long 369 mm piece keeps mainline runs free of unnecessary joints, matching the prototype practice of continuous welded rail (CWR) on Class-1 mainline.
KATO HO Unitrack system: Code 83 nickel-silver rail molded into a factory-attached ballasted plastic roadbed, with integrated UniJoiners. Layouts assemble five to ten times faster than sectional or flex track.
