Description
The Kadee #321 is a between-the-rails delayed-action magnetic uncoupler for Code 100 track. When a Kadee coupler with a steel trip pin passes over it, the magnet pulls the trip pins outward and the knuckles stay open until the next car couples or the train moves off the magnet — push cuts of cars across and uncouple anywhere downstream.
How it works
- Delayed-action. Permanent magnet, no wiring required.
- For Code 100 track only — sized to the rail height. Use #322 for Code 83 track.
- Works with all Kadee couplers and other NMRA-compliant magnetic knuckle couplers with steel trip pins
Installation tips
- Mark the location with a small dot on the side of the rail
- Don't place inside a turnout or curve — keep on straight track
