Description
The Kadee #309 is the electromagnet version of Kadee's classic delayed-action uncoupler — installed under the ties and powered on demand by a momentary push-button. Cars roll over the magnet without interaction; press the button when you want to uncouple.
How it works
- Electromagnet pulse: trip pins are pulled outward only when you energize the magnet
- Delayed action: knuckles stay open after the pulse, so you can push cars away and uncouple anywhere downstream
- Powered by your DC accessory bus or a 16V AC accessory supply (via momentary switch)
