Description
Genuine Kadee 2-56 x 3/4" zinc-plated steel machine screws — the most common fastener size in model railroading, in the longest length of the range. Kadee's fastener line is the workbench standard: consistent threads, clean heads, and a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance.
The 3/4" length handles the deepest jobs on the bench — tall bolster and shim stacks, steam locomotive and tender frames, O scale and large-scale mounting, and fixtures or jigs where reach matters more than finesse.
How to use
- Drill and tap the mounting hole with a matching 2-56 tap and drill set before installing
- Trim excess length flush with rail nippers after installation if needed
- Pair with Kadee #1701 washers and #1700 nuts for untapped installations
