Description
The Kadee #120 models the prototype SBE bottom-shelf coupler — the shelf-equipped knuckle coupler required on tank cars carrying hazardous materials, where the bottom shelf prevents a broken coupler from dropping and puncturing the adjacent car. If you model modern tank car traffic, ethanol or crude unit trains, or chemical service, these are the couplers your cars should be wearing.
Built on Kadee's Whisker® design, the #120 uses integral steel centering whiskers instead of a separate centering spring — fewer parts, easier installation, and Kadee's famously smooth, reliable magnetic knuckle action. All-metal construction, made in the USA.
