Description
One decoder, two personalities. The SDH167D ships with CV-selectable steam and diesel sound schemes, so the same board can chuff behind a Mikado this month and notch up an EMD next month — just change a CV. It's Digitrax's Series 7 HO sound-and-motor decoder with the SoundFX v3 engine: 16-bit 4-channel processing, up to 4 simultaneous voices, and loadable .spj sound projects via the Digitrax USB programmer.
The package is workbench-ready: NMRA 9-pin JST harness, a 10-pin sound harness with an 8-ohm 16×26×9 mm box speaker, and a 300 µF capacitor in the box. The 1-amp motor drive (2 A peak) with scalable speed stabilization is tuned for sound operation, and steam fans get a cam input for synchronized chuff.
- SoundFX v3: 16-bit, 4 MBit memory, 4 simultaneous voices, custom .wav support
- 2 CV-selectable schemes (steam & diesel) included; new projects load via USB programmer
- 1 A / 2 A peak motor drive, 6 FX3 functions, cam-sync chuff input
