The PX112-2 is the full-size Power Xtender in Digitrax's keep-alive lineup — maximum holdup capacity for HO locomotives that have room for it. When wheels bridge a dead frog or hit a stretch of oxidized rail, the stored charge keeps the motor turning and the sound playing instead of letting the loco lurch to a halt.
Installation on DH126 and DH166 series Series 6 decoders is genuinely plug-and-play through the 2-pin micro JST PX socket — no CV changes, no programming track visit. Body measures 40 × 13.9 × 8 mm, so check your shell clearance; if space is tight, the shorter PX108-2 delivers about 70% of the holdup.
