The Digitrax BD4N is the DCC 4-Block Occupancy Detector — a DCC block-occupancy detector that monitors 4 track section(s) and reports occupancy state to your signalling system, dispatcher panel, or computer interface over LocoNet.

About LocoNet: LocoNet is Digitrax's two-way control network that connects throttles, boosters, command stations, detection blocks, and signal modules across a layout — using standard 6-conductor RJ12 telephone cable. The two-way communication is what enables advanced features like transponding (knowing which loco is where), real-time slot status, and CV read-back from anywhere on the system.
