The Union Pacific Early Challenger CSA-2 is one of the most impressive articulated steam locomotives ever built. Originally constructed in 1936 for fast freight service across the UP's mountainous mainlines, the 4-6-6-4 wheel arrangement gave it both speed and pulling power. #3817 wears Post-1947 As-Delivered Front Engine paint. The Paragon4 version delivers synchronized sound, user-adjustable smoke, and DCC compatibility; DC and DCC compatible out of the box.
