Description
Built at La Grange between 1945 and 1949, the 2,000-hp EMD E7 was the best-selling E-unit of its day — 428 A-units and 82 B-units — and introduced the bulldog nose that defined the E8 and E9 after it. Broadway Limited's N scale run offers prototypically accurate A and B units with road-specific pilots, numberboards, horns, grab irons and antennas, as A/B sets (powered A with unpowered B) or as single units.
This version: EMD E7B, UP 988B, Yellow & Gray, 1960's Appearance, No-Sound / DCC-Ready. The Stealth Series version is a No-Sound / DCC-Ready model that runs on DC out of the box, with a factory-installed speaker and a Next18 interface so you can drop in the sound decoder of your choice; front and rear lights are directional, other lights are on with track power.
