Description
Built at La Grange between 1945 and 1949, the 2,000-hp EMD E7 was the best-selling E-unit of its day — 428 A-units and 82 B-units — and introduced the bulldog nose that defined the E8 and E9 after it. Broadway Limited's N scale run offers prototypically accurate A and B units with road-specific pilots, numberboards, horns, grab irons and antennas, as A/B sets (powered A with unpowered B) or as single units.
This version: EMD E7A, SOU 2914, Black Tuxedo Scheme, Paragon4 Sound/DC/DCC. The Paragon4 version carries BLI's Paragon4 Sound & Control system an integral dual-mode DCC decoder with Back EMF for the best slow-speed running in DC and DCC, GoPack capacitors and prototypically accurate EMD E7 sounds.
