Description
The USRA Light Mikado 2-8-2 was one of the most successful steam designs ever built: 625 were turned out under USRA control and 641 more were copied afterwards, putting the type on more than 50 railroads. Broadway Limited's 2026 N scale run adds C&O, Central of Georgia, NdeM, PRR, Southern and Union Pacific schemes, including two versions of Southern 4501 — its current black boiler and the green 2026 appearance.
This version: USRA Light Mikado, Unlettered, Paragon4 Sound/DC/DCC. The Paragon4 version carries BLI's Paragon4 Sound & Control system with synchronized puffing smoke and chuff sound, variable smoke intensity and timing, an integral dual-mode DCC decoder with Back EMF for the best slow-speed running in DC and DCC, GoPack capacitors and prototypically accurate USRA Light Mikado 2-8-2 sounds.
