Description
James is the No. 5 red engine with a shiny brass dome. He is very proud of his splendid red paintwork and thinks of himself as a Really Splendid Engine, sometimes looking down on engines that pull freight cars — though he usually learns his lesson by the end of the day. James is a mixed-traffic engine, happy (well, mostly) hauling both coaches and troublesome trucks around the Island of Sodor.
