Description
Atlas 750 is an HO scale kit for a small-town lumber yard and office — the kind of rail-served wood merchant that handled flatcar loads of dimensional lumber for everything from house construction to fence repair from the 1900s well into the 1970s. The yard includes a wood-frame office, open-sided storage sheds for stacked lumber, a perimeter fence, and a yard layout that backs onto a team track.
Parts are moulded in colour and assemble with plastic cement. The kit is sized to anchor an industrial siding off any short branch line, and the rail-side loading area accepts a standard 50-foot Atlas flatcar or 40-foot boxcar for a believable inbound load. Combine it with Atlas #721 (Middlesex Manufacturing) and #760 (Roadside Restaurant) for a tight industrial-edge urban-rural transition.
