Description
Atlas 706 is an HO scale wood-frame passenger station kit, modelled on the small-town depot design that handled commuter and short-distance passenger traffic across North America from the early 1900s right through into the diesel era. Walk-in waiting room, agent's bay, and a hipped roof with deep eaves to shelter waiting passengers are all present in the prototype's design DNA.
The kit is moulded in colour with printed glazing and signage; assembly takes an evening with plastic-compatible cement. Use it as the centrepiece of a commuter stop, a junction depot, or a rural way-station. Pair it with the Atlas #707 Station Platform (which is sized to butt directly against the depot's track-side face) to extend the boarding area, and with the #774 Hairpin Fence to keep simulated passengers off the right-of-way.
