Atlas 7 — "Nine N Scale Railroads" — is Atlas's classic beginner-to-intermediate N scale layout plan book. Each of the nine layouts is presented with a colour overhead diagram, an isometric construction view, a complete Atlas parts list, and step-by-step wiring instructions, so a new modeller can budget the trackwork before cutting plywood.
Layouts range from small loops on a 2×4 ft door right up to ambitious around-the-walls shelf railroads, covering the most common N scale benchwork sizes (the 2×4, 3×6, 4×8, 5×9 family). Wiring diagrams are written for DC block control but translate directly to DCC bus-and-feeder practice. Scenery, building placement, and paint guidance round out each plan. Pairs well with Atlas Code 80 N track packs and the Atlas N True-Track family for picking parts.
