Description
The Atlas 591 is an HO Deck Truss Bridge Kit with Code 83 nickel-silver rail — 18-inch deck-style truss bridge kit that ships with bridge-spaced track for that prototype "trains running on top of the truss" look you see at modern river crossings and grade-separated highway overpasses.
Deck Truss vs. Through Truss. A through truss (like Atlas 590) has the trains running between the trusses with the structure overhead; a deck truss has the trains running on top with the truss below the deck. The deck-truss style is used on prototype railroads where vertical clearance allows the structure to sit below the rails — typical for crossing valleys and shallow waterways. Allows trains to pass over the bridge with full overhead clearance for stack trains and double-stacks.
Kit construction. Simple-assembly kit with minimal glue required. Includes 18-inch truss + Code 83 track with bridge tie spacing. Rivet detail molded in. Assembled in 15–30 minutes.
