Description
The Atlas 587 is an HO Code 83 right-hand manual switch machine — right-hand mate to Atlas 586, the standard above-benchwork manual throw lever for Code 83 Custom-Line turnouts.
Standard mounting interface. Bolts to Custom-Line turnouts (Atlas 562, 564, 566), Curved Turnouts (Atlas 595/596), and other Code 83 turnouts using the same interface. Drop-in upgrade to electric throw any time later via Atlas 584/585.
When manual makes sense. Branch-line industrial spurs, yard tracks, and any turnout you'll walk past anyway. Lower cost, no wiring, simpler troubleshooting.
