Description
The Atlas 576 is an HO Code 83 Snap Track 60° crossing — the wide-angle diamond crossing, used where two tracks cross at a near-perpendicular angle without being a full 90°.
Where 60° fits. Typical at urban grade crossings where a railroad mainline crosses a street-rail line, at interlocking-protected junctions in port areas, and at industrial leads where the geometry doesn't quite land at 90°. Shorter overall length than the shallow-angle crossings (12.5°–30°), which makes it useful in tight scenes.
Build. Code 83 nickel-silver rail on brown molded ties, insulated frogs on both diagonals for independent block wiring.
