Description
The Atlas 573 is an HO Code 83 Snap Track 25° crossing — mid-angle diamond crossing for typical mainline-meets-branch geometry, the most common diamond angle on prototype North American railroads after the 30° standard interlocking crossing.
Where 25° fits. Mainline crossing a branch line at a moderate angle, two industries' tracks crossing at a shared interchange, double-track-to-single-track crossover gauntlets. Less sharp than a 19° (Atlas 572), less standard than a 30° (Atlas 574). Useful when the 30° just doesn't land cleanly in your layout's geometry.
Build. Code 83 nickel-silver rail on brown molded ties, insulated diagonal frogs allow independent block wiring for the two crossing routes.
