Description
The Atlas 546 is an HO Code 83 left-hand 22-inch radius Snap-Switch remote turnout — the wide-radius remote-throw Snap-Switch for mainline 6-axle and long-passenger operation. Pairs with Atlas 545 (RH 22" manual) and Atlas 544 (LH 22" manual) for a complete 22" Snap-Switch family.
Geometry. 22" radius diverging route exactly matched to Atlas 535 (22" curve) and Atlas 537 (22" 1/3 section). A 1/3 22" radius section is pre-attached to the curved leg so the exit equals a full 22" arc when joined to standard track. Plastic insulated frog — no short-circuit risk, no powered-frog wiring.
Remote switch machine is built into the turnout housing — twin-coil solenoid throws on a momentary pulse. Wire to a panel toggle, Atlas 56 Switch Control Box, or DCC stationary decoder.
