The USRA double-sheathed box car was a First World War standard design that soldiered on for decades, from class-one railroads to shortlines and work service. Atlas’s N scale model wears Northern Pacific lettering as #12327. Northern Pacific rostered hundreds of these cars, and they remained a familiar sight along the NP main line from the Twin Cities to the Pacific Northwest well into the diesel era.
