The USRA double-sheathed box car was a First World War standard design that soldiered on for decades, from class-one railroads to shortlines and work service. Atlas’s N scale model wears Lancaster & Chester lettering as #828. The Lancaster & Chester dressed its little South Carolina fleet in a cheerful blue and white “Springmaid Line” scheme, advertising the Springs Mills textile plants the railroad served.
