The USRA double-sheathed box car was a First World War standard design that soldiered on for decades, from class-one railroads to shortlines and work service. Atlas’s N scale model wears Burlington Northern lettering as #950138. This car is an ex-Northern Pacific patch-out — BN reporting marks and renumber patches applied over the fading NP paint, just as these veterans appeared in service after the 1970 merger.
